I don't know if I'd say that's sort of cheating with your challenge though so I guess it depends on how much you want to play God and help the sim vs. I usually add money back with the motherlode cheat to pay myself back (depending on how much of my sim's money I spend).Īnother thing you could do would be just to edit the town & create a community lot somewhere downtown that's small, maybe like one of the 10x10 lots and you could turn it into a little alley way or something where you could put some dumpsters and maybe some trash cans and debris. Indoor trash cans are located inside the house and will be emptied into the outdoors eventually.
Outdoor trash cans are placed outside of the lot boundaries and cannot be moved, unless you use a moveobjects cheat. Be careful if you do that, because you'll have to pay for it with your sim's budget. In The Sims 4, you can dispose of trash in nature by placing a trash can outside of your house.
There are dumpsters for sale in one of the categories, I think maybe the community objects group (sorry I'm at work and going by memory). When you open the console and use testingcheatsenabled true, you can right click on any lot and 'build on this lot'.
